Giving back

Here at Fourpawz everybody is passionate about all animals, especially dogs, and their welfare. Here are some of the “out of hours” activities we have been involved in:

Oliver Crawley

FUNDRAISING FOR OLIVER CRAWLEY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WORLD TRANSPLANT GAMES IN SYDNEY AUSTRALIA IN AUGUST 2009

Just to show we care about our Client’s owners and children too!

We have sponsored Oliver’s sports kit and will be organising a raffle to take place at Easter.

The Animal Cancer Trust is a registered charity totally committed to funding the fight against cancer in our pets.

We managed to raise a total of just over £1,300 for this worthwhile cause by organising a sponsored walk which was held at the beginning of October 2008 on the wettest Sunday anyone could remember!!

FOSTERING FOR MANY TEARS RESCUE, SOUTH WALES

Little “Teddy”, a 5 month old Bichon Frise came to stay before and after the Blue Cross at Victoria undertook a complicated Liver Shunt operation to save his life. Happily he is now with a new family.

Little Kos (now Blaze on my website!!) came to stay just before the sponsored walk (above). After the walk, when we were all soaked to the skin, it was noticed that Blaze had pneumonia and had to be rushed to the Blue Cross at Victoria and put in an oxygen tent. A weekend I’ll probably not forget in a hurry!! To read his story, please click here

And finally, we have supported the London Wildcare Trust and taken injured birds to them for medical treatment, recuperation and release back into the wild. Run purely on donation, we have a collection box for unwanted loose change.
